New Ohio License Plates

Rolling hills, grassy farmland, tall buildings, lush forests. Just a description of what the brand new 2010 Ohio license plate looks like. Already very popular, plates are being noticed:

"MOUNT VERNON — At first glance, it could be mistaken for a license plate from another state. But as they are becoming more widely seen, the state’s colorful new “Beautiful Ohio” license plate is being noticed. The plate features rolling green hills with a red barn under a blue sky, with a bright yellow sun spilling over the horizon. The silhouette of a city can be seen in the distance, as the Wright Brothers’ 1903 airplane flies through the air."

If you have never seen one before, they look like this:

Notice the differences between the motorcycle and passenger issues:

  • The Wright plane is on the right on the passenger, and it is on the left on the motorcycle.
  • The barn is gone on the MC plate
  • The city is not featured on the cycle plate
  • There is no tree in the lower left on the cycle plate as there is on the passenger.
